Noun

1.    A Noun is a word used for naming some person or thing.
   
2.   A Noun is a word used as the name of a person, place or thing.
3. A Noun is a naming word.

 

 NOTE:

The word thing includes (i) all objects that we can see, hear, taste, touch or smell; (ii) something that we can think of, but cannot perceive by the senses.

 

Examples:

1.     Md Shahad is a brilliant boy.    (Md Shahad= Proper Noun)

2.     The cow gives us milk.              (Cow = Common Noun)

3.     Salil is the best boy in the class. (Class= Collective Noun)

4.     Goal is a Valuable metal.          (Gold= Material Noun)

5.     Honesty is the best policy.         (Honesty= Abstract Noun)
